I am very pleased to present the first-ever FCB Culture & Inclusion (C&I) newsletter, which focuses on our global diversity efforts and ongoing commitment to positively impact the world.
At FCB, C&I is everyone’s task. When properly practiced, it brings everyone together to learn and grow, fostering an enriching cultural environment to better serve our clients. Intentional inclusion is a business imperative, and it is mandatory in order to effectively engage consumers and colleagues in both existing and new markets. In our industry, there is a critical link between inclusion and creativity. A diverse workforce coupled with a work environment that encourages all voices provides a competitive marketplace advantage, and has been proven to increase revenue, as well as employee performance.
Black History Month is a wonderful time to launch this new quarterly newsletter, which is designed to spotlight many of the global steps that we’re taking to ensure that both our talent and creative work reflect the communities in which we live and serve.
Taking the words from someone who says it better than most, Maya Angelou: “In diversity there is beauty and there is strength. We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter their color.” This is something that personally means so much to me. I am honored to lead a charge that significantly enhances our business and shapes the world.
